These Terms of Service govern your use of CapeFear.co, including our local adventure directory, content, storefront, newsletters, forms, and related services.
By using CapeFear.co, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
Who we are
CapeFear.co is a United States based local adventure directory and lifestyle storefront for the Cape Fear and Wilmington, North Carolina area.
We help people browse local spots, activities, events, businesses, and coastal merch. We are a guide, not a booking engine for every provider on the coast.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the site. If you use the site on behalf of a business or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that business or organization to these Terms.
The directory
CapeFear.co publishes listings, guides, recommendations, event information, business information, and links related to the Cape Fear area.
We work to keep information accurate, but details change. Hours, prices, availability, weather conditions, safety rules, cancellation policies, accessibility details, and booking terms can change without us knowing first.
Before you drive across town, launch a kayak, book a tour, or promise the kids there will definitely be funnel cake, check with the provider directly.
Third-party providers and bookings
Many listings link to third-party providers, booking platforms, maps, restaurants, outfitters, venues, event organizers, or other websites.
Unless we clearly say otherwise:
- We do not own or operate those third-party businesses.
- We do not control their websites, services, prices, schedules, policies, safety practices, or availability.
- We are not responsible for bookings, cancellations, refunds, injuries, losses, delays, disputes, or other issues involving third-party providers.
- A link or listing does not guarantee endorsement, sponsorship, partnership, availability, safety, or quality.
If you buy from, book with, visit, or communicate with a third party, that relationship is between you and that third party.
Storefront and product orders
CapeFear.co may sell apparel, accessories, prints, drinkware, and other coastal lifestyle products.
Many products are printed on demand by third-party fulfillment partners, including Printful and Printify. Products may be made only after an order is placed. Because of that, production times, shipping origins, packaging, and tracking may vary by item.
By placing an order, you agree to provide accurate billing, shipping, and contact information. You are responsible for checking product details, sizes, colors, quantities, and shipping information before checkout.
All product purchases are also subject to our Shipping Policy and Refund Policy.
Prices, availability, and errors
We may change prices, products, descriptions, images, availability, promotions, or shipping options at any time.
Sometimes the internet does what the internet does. If we discover a pricing error, product error, inventory issue, or checkout problem, we may cancel or correct the order and issue a refund where appropriate.
Accounts and communications
Some features may require an account, email signup, or form submission. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep account credentials secure.
If you sign up for emails, we may send newsletters, local recommendations, product updates, and other messages. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. We may still send transactional messages related to orders, support, account activity, or policy updates.
User submissions
If you submit reviews, photos, listing suggestions, corrections, business details, comments, feedback, or other content, you grant CapeFear.co a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, edit, publish, display, distribute, and create derivative works from that content in connection with CapeFear.co and related marketing.
You are responsible for what you submit. Do not submit content that:
